San Jose Early College at Cecil launches its unique high school program in the 2022-2023 school year. It will offer college- and career-preparedness for grades 9-12 on the Westside. Our charter school joins other successful San Jose Schools serving Northeast Florida with tuition-free, public school education in small-school environments. San Jose Prep, located in the Mandarin area of Jacksonville, has operated since 2013 serving grades 6-12. It is an A-rated school with the State of Florida. San Jose Primary serves grades K-5, also on the Mandarin campus. San Jose Cyber Academy is a locally operated virtual charter school option that serves grades K-12 and launches in 2021.

San Jose Early College at Cecil offers Career Academies, industry certifications, work-based learning, college preparation, AP Capstone Diploma, Early College and dual enrollment options, flexible graduation pathways (18- and 24-credit standard high school diplomas) and convenient access to state and national qualifying exams. State-of-the-art technology and innovative-but-proven educational methods ensure the highest quality education. Students may also receive services to meet individual needs, such as Exceptional Student Education (ESE) and English Language Learning (ELL).

Our school offers social-emotional learning. We use strategies that are meant to help students feel safe, feel cared for and feel that their individual needs are being met. Students learn in teacher-led large and small groups; they collaborate with peers; they work independently; and they use technology to interact with new content or skills. Our curriculum includes – but is not limited to – digital resources from Edgenuity, which is an approved provider by the Florida Department of Education. Edgenuity provides engaging blended learning education solutions that propel success for every student, empower teachers to deliver more effective instruction, and enable schools and districts to meet or exceed academic goals. Edgenuity delivers a range of Core Curriculum, AP®, Elective, and Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses aligned to the rigor and high expectations of state, Common Core and iNACOL standards and designed to inspire lifelong learning.
